It's a smashed up Mustang. Factory stamps inside pickup cavities etc. It just had a bad choice of repair template by who ever repaired the body.hotrodperlmutter wrote:so wait, this guitar is supposedly vintage or something? or you know it was made by some jaggoff in his garage... because i refuse to believe that this used to be an actual mustang.
bustang.

Mustang sheilding..?
Since I put the thing together years ago, I've recently found out about the brass plates used as sheilding/grounds in thses things.. Are they available anywhere? I ahd a quick look but didnt find owt. (didnt look far)
Or does sticky back copper sheet do ok and solder a line to it, maybe a screw in the body?

Can't find it either, but I found Jaguar/Jazzmaster shielding you could modify to fit.rps-10 wrote:Mustang sheilding..?

just buy some brass (hobby shops will have it, as will some hardware stores, do you have an Elliot's up there?) and some tin snips. I used window glazing points to hold it in on The Sonic Kitten
Could never make my mind up, sold to pay the bills..
