I have Jag HH and it gets really bad hum. tried witching cables, making sure no electronics in the room were on. When I touch it the hum stops which would leadme to believe its a ground problem. I just got a DT30H and it deserves a guitar that is intact electrically. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that would be a grounding problem, pop the control plate off and make sure that all the ground wires are attached to the back of a pot

I noticed all my grounds go to thateyelet andit's not attached to anything. Would that be the cause of the terrible hum?

Yes - it needs to go back in between the switch and the plate.
