was it entirely necessary to quote the entire picture bomb of the post that was directly above your post?

That's a great-looking Iced Tea on your guitar westy, I thought it was tobacco in some pics.

Here's my '05 cherry, also the 50's neck. Some guy had Gibson take a regular standard and age it in the Custom Shop, then turned it down or something so I got it for cheapies.

09 and 010 win for me. nice collections. do you still own most of these? or just those five currently?

also, you're a mad man. The best kind of mad man.
Haha thanks. No I just own the 5 at the top now. I think I bought about 130 guitars since I joined the forum (Link) but I kept trading or selling them to get others. But I am not going to do it any more. The reason is the Blue Strat and the Les Paul Standard I have now are my favorite guitars ever so I lost my desire to buy any more guitars. I mean, yes if I see a Fender Maverick for $500 I'm going to buy it but it would have to be that kind of deal to get me excited now.

That is beautiful. Cherry Sunburst is my favorite Les Paul finish.

Oh wow,I didn't know that.I thought the sold them as as after market items. Do the make them in white? Some day I am going to put the original plastic back on my R7 and double white pickups
Gibson does not sell any white pick ups, the BB Pro's only come in Chrome and Gold in the aftermarket world

Because DiMarzio sneakily trademarked it. Nobody is allowed to do plain looking buckers in double creme but them, you can only do them if they're clearly different (Carvin 12-pole buckers, Bill Lawrence double-rail buckers and the GFS copies of them, etc...)

Gibson do sell buckers aftermarket uncovered, in double black or zebra. Finding a place that stocks all the styles (nickel, gold, black-open, zebra-open) of each pickup is rare though. Jarrod might be right that the Vs/Pros don't come in uncovered form though.

From a Racer X forum:

i checked this out, it used to get done alot and people posted it in too many forums so dimarzio started to send out cease and desist letters
