NPD x2!

Well, technically times 3.

I bought two Starcaster Choruses, (thanks ends) one for my dad and one for me, and an Ibanez Weeping Demon Wah off ebay. I was expecting the Wah tomorrow and I got both today. Super stoked.

I'm not an expert on Chorus, but the starcaster works pretty well. Both work and have no issues that I know of.

The Wah is huge. It sounds really great though. I can tweak the sound a lot and it has a range switch that puts it in "bass guitar mode". It sounds awesome with my bass.

One thing I really like about the wah is it has "footswitch mode" where the wah is activated via the footswitch (duh) and "auto wah" mode where it engages as soon as you step on it. Each mode has a separate tension spring so you can dial in how much give the pedal has, and there's a delay for the auto wah mode that sets how long the wah effect stays on after you let go of it.

Really excited with these new pedals. I should get some good use out of 'em.

Looks like fun. Hook them all together and do a demo!

I've got one of those Chorus pedals coming in the mail. How do you like the Weeping Demon. I have one of them. It doesn't play nice with active pickups in some of my guitars. Adds a bad distorted sound. I did like the sound of it a little.

I don't have any active pickup guitars, but playing through my telecaster sounds pretty nice. I played it through an EMG equipped bass though and it sounds ace. You might need to adjust the range knob underneath the foot treadle?

I actually gave it about a month before I really gave up on it with active pickups. I really did like it but it just wasn't working with all my guitars. Plus I built an envelope filter that I love so I don't use a wah anymore anyway. I do take it down from the shelves every once in a while for a few days.

I can't wait to get my chorus. I want to compare it to the other chorus pedals I have. The Starcaster Distortion is actually a Boss MT-2 clone so I'm sure I'll open this thing up and see what's under the hood.
