My cousin had a Malibu SS 396 we used to take to the dragstrip every week till he crashed it and nearly killed his self.

My friend at work has one. I cannot stress these next three words enough: it is terrible.

fender acoustics just plain suck... Better off to get an ibanez. I just do nto think a bolt on neck acoustic is ever going to sound good and fender acoustics always seemes to be more about looks that anything else.

The nicest sounding acoustic I’ve ever played had a bolt on neck, an old 60’s eko country and western looking job; it belongs to a friend’s dad I get to play it at new year’s parties at his gaff never played anything that comes close...

My first guitar, which I still have, is a lefty Fender San Miguel acoustic I got for £90 shipped. Made in Korea early 90's I think, and it sounds great for that price and plays well. When I got it I knew jack about guitars, but just knew from looking on eBay that it had a cool headstock, a cutaway, tortoise scratchplate and wasn't a Stagg (which were the only other lefty acoustics in my price when I looked).

I love it, and don't ever plan on selling it.

It's like this:

Yep, I've played some lovely bolt-on Ekos. Not sure if it's the actual neck design that makes a difference: Ekos have a regular acoustic neck, Malibus an electric neck.
