Looks nice!

Quite a buzz about these IC muffs at the moment. EH should get back in the IC muff game and clean-up.

Actually, if you want some IC muff boards gimme a shout. I'm making a big batch next week and will have a load to spare.

Surely if I did that then people would start complaining the vintage veroboard ones sound better than the new mass produced PCB ones ;-)

Are you trying to run me out of business adding it to your product line?

I did ages ago, just added a few lines to the green muff page saying I make IC muffs as well, and I've had lots of orders for em, peaking recently. I still paint them myself and use transfers, although I got a quote for getting these boxes powdercoated then a full-colour dye-sublimation print as I want to keep my eastern-bloc design, but it was like £11 a box for 50, so it's gonna have to wait.

Mike - a tentative query: Much as I love fuzz through my Fender Musicmaster Bass amp some kinds of my riffing are better with the much 'tighter' distortion/gain on my little solid state Marshall practice amp.....BUT...I want to get that through my FMMB amp too for it's cleans and the ability to switch between the two with a pedal.

I'd say the sound the Marshall has that kind of Husker Du, early Black flag kind of thing, it's got be quite 'fizzy' around the edges (i.e not too 'metal' - like the distortion trails off into infinity rather than ends in a straight line if that makes any sense yet is still tight) and be pretty damn 'gnarly' with the capacity to be face meltingly ballsy.... yet also keep string clarity. A bit of Neil young wouldn't go amiss as a reference point too I guess.

What sort of MBM options are there for this kind of thing? Any pedal names I can look up would be ace and if it would help I can get a video up of the marshall and me doing an riff for reference.

Thanks mate

Hmm. A video might be the best best so I can figure out what sort of sonic ballpark you're talking about, but any pedal I make won't have the complex circuitry like you'll find in the front end of an amp, even a solid-state Marshall practise one - they're pretty real beasts.

Did nothing on my youtube channels sound like it?

Why that didn't occur to me I have no idea. I'll have a look through when I get home from work and if not I'll get something up for reference.

Nae worries, sorry it took a little bit, I had to get that MPSA13 Darlington Pair Transistor and then figure out it was backwards.

At the right settings, this thing picks up shortwave radio.
