Jaguar keeps breaking strings

robroe doesn't bend strings. The practicality of 13s for most players is ridiculous so I wouldn't buy into it. It's also very uncomfortable so why would you do it? I think playing a guitar should be pleasurable.
Tip: If you are snapping strings in normal tuning it's unlikely to do with the strings at all. Check intonation and sharp edges where the string makes contact with hardware, and how you wound the strings in the first place.

Not true. My Jaguar came with and still has flat wounds on it. No problems at all.Corax-rg wrote:I was told flatwounds play havoc with the tension on the neck. Is there any fact in that?
