it was one thing I was planning for the CVC, I always loved humbucklers in teles especially if it was a thinline, maybe that should be my next aim. vid sounds cool btw

Quite a few have a humbucker cavity in the neck too. Pretty sure the Classic Vibe does.

Yep, get the double-bound CV (which is already routed for a humbucker in the neck), a new scratchplate and one of the Tonerider humbuckers. Lovely.

does anyone know if the maple neck 50's CV Tele is routed for a humbuggly? i'd prefer the maples neck.

Love tele's but could never get on with my old squier tele custom with the humbuckers which is why i sold it.
Apart from being bloody heavy, to me, i didn't like the overall sound with the 'buckers.

Haze took his CV Tele Custom apart and it had humbucker routes.

my old CVC that George now owns has Humbuckler routes in the neck but I haven't heard or seen any evidence that the 50s one has though.

Several people have already pointed this out, many of them just a few posts above: plus, it's not what Rob asked.

Yes, the CV50s is routed for a neck humbucker. I'd still go for the Custom for the variety.

I know what the question was but since I have not seen under a CV50 guard, I made the assumption perhaps it was routed for one since other CV tells had been routed for them.

And yet you didn't mention that in your post? Assumptions are useful.

CV Tele bodies are MIM, or at least identically routed/spec'd.
