epiphone LP Jr £99
Limited Edtion Colours
worth a punt at £99. maybe stick a hum-b sized p90 in it and rock out. apparently a pretty good cheap guitar for mods.

just thinking it'd be no worse than the les paul special II i had. i've got a load of grovers and parts that i could stick on to improve it and maybe stick a tonerider 90 in it. plus it's TV yellow.

If you consider it to be £100 + 50-100 for extras (delivery, new pickup, maybe tuners, plasters for the cuts from the fret edges) they won't even get close to what you can buy for £150 - 200 as a used Squier, an old but less sought after Japanese guitar like Westone or Antoria or any number of other options.
Shabba.

Right, so I ordered one of these in trans blue, yellow wasn't in stock. It was free postage, so the cost was just £99 to your door. Got it this lunch time. Out of the box, the trans blue looks well nice against the black and chrome. Action wise it's pretty spot on, not too high and not too low, no sharp frets as of yet. The neck is quite similar in shape to my tele, though a little thinner. Tuners are quite solid and it's holding it's tuning well. Classic stopbar bridge with the intonation screws. Intonation is pretty spot on as you can get it with a stop tail. Feels quite solid for the money. Unplugged, it's quite loud and got a fair bit of sustain, chimey and just wants to be tuned to open g for dirty stones kinda vibe. Pickup is really not that bad, nice full clean sound that can ringing out well and it's a proper crunch machine with my OCD. All in all I'm pretty chuffed with it so far, might stick some heavier strings on it and might stick the set of grovers I have on it. I'd say it's worth getting at that price.

I think, I'll keep it stock for now and see how i like it. It's a bright sounding bucker, oh the crunch is great. Needs 11's though.

Maybe a covered humbucker might be cool. With that kind blue-ish burnt finish barenuckle do.
I'd also like the smaller bell knobs on it.

Cheers guys. I can see that it's very hit and miss on epiphones, fortunately I've been quite lucky. My goldtop was great guitar and the custom was nigh on perfect. My old les Paul special II was a faithful guitar till I got into fenders.
I'm really stoked with my recent purchases. This junior will be used for stuff I want a bit more balls for. Saves me changing the strats pickups, I can just use this. Plus it'll be great as a slide/open tuned guitar. Plus everything sounds great through an OCD/dual terror.
