I'm sure you'll solder it in fine but if you have trouble I can fix it for you when I'm back (or Tim would do so also I'm sure)
Thanks Mike, pm'd ya.

Ha! I see what you did there! Yes, I'd happily swap the pot for you Owen. PM if keen.

The price of the C5K pot doubles the cost of the components* from £1.50 to about £3. The price of doing things wrong is that reputations are damaged too easily on the internets. If I build something that breaks I bend over backwards to make it right, as a bad word on a forum can spoil months of goodwill and positive testimonials.

*Admittedly not counting the switch, enclosure, jacks

Yeah, it doubles them from insignificant to still insignificant.

Been watching this guys stuff on ebay for a while, glad I didn't buy anything now, even at bay prices. Getting you to supply your own part to fix it is pretty shocking.

I agree. If he's selling his pedals as a clone of the SHO then that's what it should be, including all the correct parts - or at least ones that do the job properly. He shouldn't be crying about the cost of the correct components when he is making money off the back of a pedal that was designed by somebody else.

Mike Kindly sent me a replacement pot today. It's all fitted now and it works a treat and as intended; chuffed to pieces. Me and soldering Irons don't really get on that well but it went swimmingly.

Thanks for your help everyone especially Mike & Tim.

Now, I'm gonna send Big Nob an email and tell him to spend the extra £1 or 2 for a pot that operates properly.
