1968 silvertone 1465 head & fender stage 100 head

Anybody know anything good/bad bout these amps. Craigslist dude wants to trade me for my samick les paul silverburst. I love my Marshall JCM 900 Hi Gain Dual Reverb 50 watt combo... but it doesn't do "clean", with the power tubes I put in it a few years ago. Really looking to expand my tones, been tied down with the same amp for almost 15 years.

I don't have a cab, I guess I could play these heads through my combo. I don't gig, 50 watts is plenty enough power for me in my basement. Figured you guys who know lots bout amps, I don't know shit.

Well, for starters, the Stage 100 is solid-state. I respectfully disagree with Rob's assessment.

I had the combo version (and I believe Kim still has one), and it was actually a fantastic amp -- the non-DSP version, anyway. It was really loud, great clean, and the reverb was not as terrible as one would think. I held onto it forever thinking it would make a great reserve amp, but I accepted the fact that I hadn't used it in many years and ended up selling it just a few months ago.
