WOOT.
i won a ebay thing a bit back and the new neck showed up
its a 72 b width neck.
the body is a 74
now to sort out that wiring issue, and toss a guard that i didn't destroy on it..
probably bwb.. fuck being "period correct"
current shots..
waiting for a pack of strings to arrive in the post then i'll do up a demo, and you cats can tell me whats wrong with the wiring, as it looks identical to the wiring in the ri that i have.

the guitar has a short it in somewhere.
hotrod's jagstang had this same problem so after he got frustrated with it, I just took the whole damn thing apart, rewired it and it fixed it. I find when stuff like this is happening, just to undo everything and start over, it can save a lot of frustration. And be sure to be extra neat and careful when you redo it!

i took it apart today disassembled everything and rewired it
neck pick up works exactly as it is supposed to now
the bridge pickup works in the neck most position, and off... but not in the bridge most position
so i'll pull it apart again tomorrow and take a look
i'm also getting a bit of a ground hum now..
so i will be double checking my grounds.

sounds like the problem would be with the switches. Where the front pegs are connected to the back pegs. I would bet that one of those connections is coming into contact with something it's not supposed to . . . or it just got busted loose trying to cram all of that wiring into those narrow routes.
