good looking 3 on a side headstocks?

Post by gaybear »

I was doodling some headstocks the other day, and i've always like 3 on a side ala gibson, or most acoustics. but it's hard to design anything new that ain't uuuugly.

I like these but I think the reason they work is the guitar they're attached to, and the maple on the Tele prototype.

I think 3 and 3 is almost always better than 6 inline, for tuning and aesthetics.

Saw this one on ebay last night and kind of liked it for it's simplicity. Wouldn't take much to punch it up a little.

3 & 3 headstocks confuse me, they do look nice though.

Headstocks should be bigger. There's no reason that I can think of for them to be so small, and being bigger ought to give a better sound.
