Duo sonic neck replacements

I posted this on ILF, but I figure you folks may know best.

This may be preemptive, however, I just trade my guitar for a Duo Sonic and it's the 22.5" neck. I'm curious to try a shorter scale considering I was trying to go the opposite way. However, if need be, what necks can I put in it to keep it close to the standard length? I heard mustangs work, but I was looking for a 25.5" although I imagine 24" wouldn't be too noticeable.

Also does anyone know if the Squier duo sonic necks fit?

it's a 90s model.

then you can use the cv duo neck or a current jagmaster neck to make it 24"

if you want it 25.5" any standard strat neck will work
as the 90s duos are 22.75" scale and a conversion neck from 25.5"

yup, just so long as you don't use a tele neck the heal fits perfect

Excellent. Thanks for being so helpful. One more question, depending on your answer. On ILF, someone mentioned something about moving the bridge, is this certain?

you won't need to move the bridge, but you will need to adjust the saddles for proper intonation

Absolutely, thats the point of conversion necks. Just move saddles for intonation and rock out.

Alright, so I put it on and I'm pretty sure it's good to go. Just need to set the guitar intonation up. However, how do i check to make sure the scale is correct? Would the intervals sound different if i were to go up the neck?

Well if it intonation is correct then the scale is correct. Put the neck on and tune the guitar. Then check that it is in tune at 12th fret. Set saddles so it is in tune on open string and at 12th fret.

If you are asking how to make sure what the scale of the neck is that you are putting on, then measure from the nut to 12th fret and then multiply by 2.

What do you mean by gap? A gap between the butt of the neck and the neck pocket?

Yeah, the neck I received has a slope at the butt of the neck which didn't go flush with the pocket, but did have the fretboard that goes past the neck. My riffs sound fine, but I'm curious what it would sound like if this was wrong. I imagine some of the frets would be sharp or flat versions of the last fret...or perhaps skip an entire step.
