just judging from the looks of it, the person who owns this probably has more money than they know what to do with. this may be a guitar they had custom made to their specs...
i don't know though. i like the looks of it either way.

i know, i wish it was some sort of over the top jokey troll thing instead of this supposed legit hunkapoopee.

hmmm. put a tele bridge in that thing and it would be almost exactly what I'm looking for in a guitar.

It's kind of charming. It's more attractive than the sum of its parts.

I know it's blasphemy, but I really hated my Squier 51. It felt really cheap and kind of like a faked version of what it should have been. I have a MIJ Squier I'm deeply in love with, so it wasn't the decal.

On the plus side, being Australia I got $350 for it on eBay. Plus shipping.

Fingers crossed for the Toronado bridge. In fact you could probably drop the Mustang trem in with no problems. It would probably cover the string through holes. You would have the holes on the back side but no one sees those anyway.

What other Fender guitars use the Enforcer pickups? CP Jaguar HH uses them but without the pickup covers.

I also just noticed that Mustang guitars are no longer listed on Fender's website. Only Mustang basses are still listed.

It'd be a shame if the standard Mustang became discontinued (or Japan only).

If they're not selling well, it's certainly not because there's no interest. It's because it's $939.

Between this thread and lack of details on the new J Mascis Signature we have some Fender mystique.

That is until they come out and everybody finds 100 things to criticize.

He mentioned a new guitar coming out in one of the interviews in support of his new album. Are there any details at all? Is it another Jazzy?

I missed my chance at a J Mascis around XMas but I am happy they are coming out with another. I may build my own version of it, kinda my take on the J Mascis.

Good to see Fender making some noise in the Offset department. Now if they could reissue the Coronado and the Starcaster....

The only details I have been able to find is that it will come in Purple for sure and probably White and it is a Jazzmaster.

I wonder if this one will be basswood again. I hope it looks the same as the previous one but has a Mustang bridge and made from alder or Ash. Maybe a nitro neck, though I really liked the satin neck on the last one. I got to play one at Best Buy and it was the best JM I have played up to this point.
