thanks guys!
the only things I bought for this project was the pickup and the paint. I had the neck pickup, it's from scandoslav's CV duo (thanks dude!). the bridge was cut with a hack saw and the edges and corners smoothed the a grinding wheel. for the pickguard I spent half the day saturday mounting the router to a piece of plywood that I then nailed to two saw horses as a makeshift table router. of course then it only took 2 seconds to cut the guard. all the electronics was crap I already had. I replaced the screws with some shiny ones that I had. otherwise it is a joe strummer tele. =]

it's a factory 2nd.
or
the joe strummer teles were made from factory 2nds.
that always bugged the shit out of me. Seriously, the high E would come out of the nut when I played shows with it.
Soooo, can I have dubs if you ever decide to sell it?
One of only 2 guitars I ever regret getting rid of.

yeah the door is totally legit Vintage M@J@. =] do you mean I should just put another string tree and make it look like it was made with two?
here's what I'm saying about the string tree:

yeah, I just put a little shorter spacer ring under the string tree thing so now it stays put.portugalwillie wrote:that always bugged the shit out of me. yeah it's a pretty nice guitar acshullay. pretty nice neck and the blues bucker is pretty great sounding too, bright and spanky with lotsa mids. really great for chords. I might do a little demo of it at some point.portugalwillie wrote:Soooo, can I have dubs if you ever decide to sell it?
