I'll start by saying I have no knowledge at all about guitar builds so this is mainly for advise and to point me in the right direction
I'd love to build (most probably just piece together) a baritone tele with a bigsby.
I was planning on just buying parts off of ebay and see where I end up. I assume I would have to buy to baritone neck off of warmoth or somewhere similar?
It would be great if you guys could give me any ideas of what I need to be aware of. Will the bridge need to be moved further back or will the neck be all I need for it to be a baritone? Will the heel of the neck fit the body correctly or will I need to make adjustments?
As you can tell I have no idea haha but this forum has sparked an interest to at least attempt to start somewhere.

Hello there. From what I could tell, the Allparts baritone conversion necks looked about the best value for money (so I bought one); the Warmoths are nice, but you need to factor in finishing and, in my case, excessive overseas shipping costs. As it's a conversion neck, you don't need to do anything drastic like move the bridge (although you'l probably need to tweak the saddles to intonate it). Neck heel will fit fine as long as you buy a tele one (there are strat ones available too - these have a different heel shape, as do Dano necks, which are narrower). Allparts necks need finishing (I'm planning on using tru or Danish oil since it seems easier), a nut and tuners fitting. I'm hoping fitting a nut isn't too evil, fitting tuners is easy enough. Standard Klusons fit most baritone strings, you might just need to bore the hole down the middle out a bit. I've never fitted a Bigsby before, so can't advise. Maybe buy a tele with a Bigsby already fitted?
Thanks for the help.
The baritone necks on Allparts seem to be out of stock which is a shame. Didn't expect them to be so expensive but nevermind. I'll send them an email later to see if they are expecting them in.
That doesn't seem difficult then. I'll start hunting for a tele body.
Next on the list will be a suitable pickup, I'd like to get a tone similar to that of the Gretsch Spectrasonic baritone. I'll post a video later tonight
