My friends store got in a Yamaha RGXA2 . It looks like something that Devo would play.

A friend of mine plays one of these, which I assume are part of the same series. It's not something I'd personally play but it does look and sound very cool.

I loved the idea of the RGX-A2 for ages. I got one a couple of years ago and loved the finish and looks and the LEDs for the pickup selector. It was really light and felt nice and ergonomic. However it didn't play that well (fat neck at odds with the streamlined-ness of the thing) but the main problem was that plugged-in it just sounded dull and lifeless. I don't know whether this was down to the body construction or the pickups.

Yeah, I love the whole concept, I even like the way it looks even though it looks like an iPod or something. The thumbscrew tuning pegs are one of my favourite features.
