50s classic vibe yo

happy 3 year anniversary to meeeeeeee us

lighter than my Custom, pine instead of alder. Isn't set up at all, action is too low, has 9s on it and isn't intonated properly. I'll get it set up with 11s how I like it and do an demo comparing the two

Frets are perfect
Fit and finish are perfect
The bridge is super spanky
Neck pu is dull, needs to be raised or something. Alnico 3 magnets in these I think, always preferred Vs I think but I'll put it through its paces once its set up

ps - hotrod haets teh maplesz

Lady haze bought it used at giutar center when I saw it months ago and played it through an ac15. It was marked $250. Still has the plastic on the scratchplate and no fret ware, just a small nick by the jack plate but I bea the fuck out of my guitars so no worries.

Swap necks!

Then put the one with binding and maple neck in the back of some dark closet.

That was the first CV tele I played and I loved it. Pine like the old school teles. Between that and your custom, you will be set. You now have the maple fretboard to go along with the rosewood.

I saw a used on CL for $230. If I didn't already have a Baja Tele, I'd be all over it.

If you want it shoot me a text sometime and we'll talk. I want to make sure the 50s holds up first though.

Yes, a white pickguard! ...white or ivory Mother of Toilet Seat would be killer on that axe.

And set-up is the thing. Almost any guitar can become a great player with the right set-up.

Enjoy!

I thought the 64 Jag was your dad's? I would sell the strat and maybe one or two of the others you are playing as much right now to help you buy the AC30 or a Mustang. I would happy to hold onto the Musicmaster if it's getting to crowded at your place. :) Our guitars could have a play date!

64 jag is his uncles (?), but i remember something along the lines of it being given to him as long as he doesn't sell it to support his OUT OF CONTROL weed habit.

Pretty much. I think the musicmaster and sadie are next. The strat is my first guitar so it probaly won't go.
