I think a CV Duo belongs in the 'short scales' thread but hey... who cares?! Nice guitar, welcome to the family :D

How you finding that neck?

The necks really nice, it took me a while to get used to as I was used to my Yamaha which had a really narrow neck. The "glossyness" of it also seems a bit less noticeable now but maybe that's just me.

Hi sholkham!...welcome, and great to see your Duosonic on here!
I found after getting my Duo that the shorter 24" scale was far easier to play, and it made me realise i shouldntve bought a MIM Nashville Tele...i loved the Tele's look, but i realise now i just couldnt get on with its 25.5" scale AND it's slab body
The Duo was a loud wake-up call for me ...so i sold the MIM Tele not long after getting the Duo and bought a Jagmaster as well...2 shortscale geetars for the price of 1! Thankupleeze!!
I always had the impression that Squiers were pap, but i was blown away when i got mine...i think the quality of both is great for the money..
I found em on Ebay...and got em both for under £140 each...

As theyre cheap, its not too wrenching if you wanna mod em...
Here's my 08 Duo, and my 09 Jagmaster before and after...both have the conversion necks...

Being a resourceful chap i made my own scratchplate and chrome control plate!...i used an anglegrinder to cut the control plate from a 99p Ebay chrome double electrical wall socket blank...and the scratchplate from a £14.99 torty blank that i cut out after tracing round the original...The Zebra Pafs were a better upgrade as well...me knobs were a brill find from maplins electrical shop...£1.49 each 8)

I'll keep you in mind if that time comes, hotrod. I'd really recommend it if you see one about. It's a gem. Pickup is great, too.

I'm in Winnipeg Canada, and I'm pretty sure that this isn't yours. It's got white Dimarzio humbuckers.

My own little win. The Billy Bo White Penguin is my dream guitar, and I recently acquired the first one opened of the first batch. The sin of pride.

I saw when they made those and also the black version, very nice pull. It's awesome when people get something they always wanted, you do win.

I want a Bo with that shape too but not exactly like Grestch makes. I drew up my own BO guitar with a more Penguinish headstock and some different stuff. I will eventually have Bo guitars with all the cool shapes he played. That's one of my dreams...

New here and first post. I just picked up this Fender Cyclone and within a few days picked up the Squier Super-Sonic. Been playing 25.5ers my whole life. These shorter scales feel so cool. Gonna be getting a new pickup for the neck position on the Cyclone. It will be an EMG single to go with the EMG81 in the bridge. It will only have a single volume and a bridge-off-neck toggle. The SS has a SD JB in the bridge and Jazz in the neck. I'm loving both of these guitars. Image
