More Best buy deals

Post by mickie08 »

I went on to the local Best buy to kill some time tonight before picking up the girl from practice and damn... They had a bunch of Fenders marked on clearance..

CV 50s strat 257
CV Duo 245
CV P bass 260
VM thinline 215
Tele Deluxe (poo brown one) 557
Daphne Mustang 640
Am Tele (not hiway 1 or am special) 800
Corgan strat 9 something

And you get a Best Buy GC with everyone you buy.. Guy said he has to ring up the item to know hoe much as it varies, but typically about 10-15% of the cost.

Probably going to buy the thinline tommorrow or the CV strat. Would love to buy the tele deluxe at that price new.

They also has a Les Paul classic for about a grand...

Gibson songwriter deluxe A/E guitar 800

Alot of great deals on guitars...

I heard best buy is trying to shrink its overall stock and size due to a bad half a year.
This may be part of it?

Best Buy in Canada only carries like 1 or 2 stupid student Hannah Montanna guitars.

NEW MUSTANG FOR 649, that is the old price! buy for me and send here?

I'd be happy to, but shipping and import would probably be kill it value wise.

If anyone wants one of these though I am happy to pick one up tommorrow, but ya got to send me the $ first as I don't have it to front.

I've never seen a best buy with a guitar section. They must be pretty rare, or only in huge market areas like NYC and LA.

Your right. UGH I want one. You can't get a CV in Canada for less than 320. Well I suppose you could if you looked hard. But there is no awesome coupon abundancy in Canada.

after the pain you had to deal with the duos, i'm pretty sure you're absolved of all shipping duties.

Oh I agree to some extent, but have done it numerous times since... (jagstang, Marshall amp, JM, etc). I am just avoiding overseas shipping as much as possible. My local post office is full of idiots and I the duos were not the only items i have sent out that had issues across the pond. That said, I did just send George F a Lead II copy and it did get there OK (if a little slow)

But mainly I was kind of thinking local anyways because the deals are good, but maybe not so much once you factor in shipping, etc unless it is pretty close.

Like I said earlier, I may end up in there tommorrow and pick up eithe the CV strat or the VM thinline tele.

there is one in Dallas and one near my parents house in Houston. The selection is usually pretty good. I have seen the Daphne Mustang and J Mascis Jazzmaster ($783) for great prices. Sounds like some nice deals to be had.

There's a beast buy near my office that sells guitars. I had been going there for years and never noticed until I was looking for something else and wandered into it. I was happy just for a local place to buy strings!

Yeah, the local Best Buy here in Riverside CA has a "music store" section in it. It's not very big - about the size of a small mom and pop store. Selection is okay in the guitar department, but not extensive. I think it's been there for two or three years now - something like that.

The stoer I was at was in Murrieta, so about an hour or less from SD. What part of SD are you in?
