are the pickups standard strat style or something a little different under the hood?
guitars: mustang 65ri, cp jaguar, cp based jazzblaster, cp based jazzmaster, harm vi, gibson lp jr, seagull 66 string,seagull s12+, dobro, jazz bass
effects: way too many
amps: mesa boogie roadster, mesa boogie stiletto trident

They don't sound like strat style single coils. The have a much beefier sound(except in the out of phase middle position). My friend at JukeBoxOnFire described them like this:

"Sort of like a Fender single coil on acid. They have huge booming output and are almost like you put a Strat pickup and a Supro humbucker-sized single coil into a blender"

I really like that. Even with the gut hook headstock. Are they hard to find? The scale looks short, is it?
