i saw this yesterday and thought the same thing. If it allowed 2 at a time then yes maybe. I know it has a tuner, looper and expression pedal jack but I'm not sold on this as much as the M9 or M13Thom wrote:I don't understand why you would want this if you can only use one effect at a time.

Definitely worth paying more for the M9, if only for the ability for have multiple effects and the looper. Chances are you'll be using this with other pedals, and the current effect on the M5 won't necessarily be placed ideally in relation to your real world FX.
Fuzz pedal>M5 reverb = sweet.
Fuzz pedal > M5 wah = less sweet.

I suppose it all depends on how you wanna use it.
I'm not fussed about a looper and this thing contains most of the sounds i like/want from the MM and tonecore pedals. I'd probably get one and have a few presets set on it for reverb/delay and something else. Not fussed about stacking and that it only has one fx at a time. The way I like to use pedals, it'd be nice to have a jack of all trades for lesser used and new sounds.

Aye, it seems kind of useless to me having a pedal that can do so much but means you have to reorder your effects depending on what you want to use. It would seem limited by the order of your board, to me.
It makes a lot more sense to have something like the M9 in the middle or towards the end of your chain.

For me it the right size and and it's gonna do what i want it to do.
I'll be using my OCD for drives and I've got my wah if I want it. This is purely for those effects I want every now and then. It'll be a reverb when I want reverb, a delay when I need a delay etc. I'm not going to want to run multiple fx at a time. Plus I've never had any want or need for a looper. I just want a small pedal that can have several boxes in one and I can make a couple of preset to bank up and down between.

I'm seriously considering this pedal. A lot of people wouldn't hesitate to spend £100-150 on a high end pedal, & this does so much more for a similar price.
Like prog says, this pedal makes sense as it's good for those who want certain effects for occasional use. I can think of plenty of effects I may desire on top of what I already have but never imagine using more than one per song lets say, so it's ideal.
I think it's an M9 more or less cramped into a tiny package so we know it's gonna sound decent. I think it'll do well.
Some may stump for m9 or m13... what good is there's further choice to fulfil the players needs.
