i was going to buy the dt, but the price difference is not that big, is it worth it?
depends on how much gain u use..... if u play hard rock/metal get the TH30..... if u like more classic sounds get the DT
Most of my bands songs go from almost sludge to shoegaze, so i guess the th30 would be better for that. But i do intend to use the ect and the rat for the more extreme sounds. I tried my board on a tt and really loved the sound i got when using the amp with a more classic rock overdrive and then using the ect on top of that, it seemed it could blow up the place :)

I think I'd need a few more knobs/options. Would look beastly in a headshell though.

You should probably avoid Class A, 15W amps then. If you want a super clean portable amp - look Solid State, not tube.

Nothing Clean and Tube will be remotely light.
if you want a clean amp DO NOT buy an Orange....
unless it's an orange crush. little amps with fantastic cleans!

This ^^ is true, my Orange CR20 is lovely for a small practice amp

As the release date grows ever nearer I am becoming more and more tempted to pick one up.
I think that the fact it has an FX loop has tipped the balance, that way can stick a nice reverb pedal in there.
Might have to dig around and see what I can trade in for one...
