Marshall Lead 20 Combo

Post by SGJarrod »

These amps seem to have a bit of a cult following and I have never played one.... I got a chance to pick up one from the mid 80's and it still has the original Greenback 10" in it for Cheapz.....

from what I have read it is a SS verison of the JCM 800.... single channel same controls but has master volume, some of the demos seem ok on youtube, but u all know how that can be deceiving...

Any experience or opinions?..

Thanks All

I have a Marshall Lead 100 Mosfet, which was said to be a solid state voiced like the JCM 800. The smaller brother or whatever.
I think that Lead 20 is probably in the same line of amps from the eighties.

Anyways, I think it's incredible. I never use the EQ, which is pushpull activated. It has 3 volumes and a tone and I get everything I could ever want from it.

I had an old Lead12 - they're fantastic amps.
