Not sure if you've offered up a neck to it yet, but tried my baritone neck on the Cooterfinger Danorite body today and I've never seen a snugger neck joint. He's everso good.
Love Jazzy with Jag appointments! Would dig the 25.5 myself, but to each his own! Also, while green is my favorite color, I think ends totally out greens me.

i'm getting a machinist friend of mine to make me one, i'll have him make two and put one in with the neck.
That will be perfect for a Jazzy Jaguar. You get the Jazzmaster 3 way switch but keep the strangle switch and Jaguar feel. Brilliant.
How much is your friend charging to make the Kurtz Style Switch? I wouldn't mind one or two myself for future projects.
as he is going to be making them from scrap he has sitting around, i have no idea, we discussed it the last time our bands played together.
but i told him that after he has made me a couple he should make a bunch and put them on ebay as "jaguar style kurt cobain strangle plate" or something of that style.
corner the fucking market.
i just need to make the tracing from my CIJ jag and compare it to the CP Jag. they should be the same size, but i want to make sure.
Two coats of gloss down. Gonna sand like crazy to smooth it out (got a drip or two) and prepare for a fe coats of satin clear. Also ordered all the bits and bobs (plates/pups/bridge) just now.

Clear coating went fairly disastrous on the final coat (a bit thick and runny in a few spots). But a wee bit of sanding and a sticker oughta handle it.
I tried to care enough to sand it down and try again... But I don't.
I'm not a perfect finish kind of guy I guess.

I think that is going to be fine. You are not finished with it yet. After shooting the gloss what did you sand with? You can use a box cutter razor like a cabinet scraper to take care of drips. Then it is a matter of sanding the high spots down to the low points of the clear. Think of the first several coats as a sealer coat. Lightly sand with 400 up to 600. It will look like crap but it is part of the process. Just don't go below the gloss and take off died wood. Then spray a couple more thin coats and keep repeating the sanding until the pits are filled in. Close your eyes and rub your finger over the surface to tell how smooth it is. Once you are at that point, go to the an auto zone and get some 800, 1500 and 2000 grit and wet sand. You can then use car polish and then use a guitar spray polish and it will be great.
Just remember when you sand, stop when you think you are close to wood and then shoot a couple more thin coats and you will be fine.
