Digitech EX-7 Expression Factory
I've been wanting a wah for some time and the fact that it does wah + the Space Station, Leslie, and Univibe stuff has me interested. Are its wahs comparable to the entry level Crybaby and Vox 847a? Thinking about getting one secondhand on the cheap.

I'm having great fun with mine. To be honest, the wahs don't seem great to me but maybe I still haven't figured out how to make the most of them by changing the Q controls and such.
I also have a Boss PW-10 v-Wah which to me sounds much better as a wah (would you believe that the Boss has been broken for years but started working a week after I got the EX-7? I now have an EX-7, a v-Wah and a WH-4 which is too, too much). However, the other sounds from the Boss are maybe a bit less useful. The different sounds on the EX-7 are all very usable, in my opinion.
I'll maybe knock up a demo/comparison on Saturday night or Monday depending on how other recording goes and how I'm pushed time-wise.

i loved the sounds other than the wah's and liked how things could be teamed up with the distortion models. its a fun pedal to experiment with but I prefer the cry baby I got from Bacchus for wah sounds though

not yet but its on my list of things to do. For what I'm using it for at the moment though its not been necessary (having it after fuzz and making feedback) although when I get my funk on I think I might see if I can change the range of the sweep or something.BacchusPaul wrote:Did you ever get round to modding the CryBaby any? To me it always made so much sense to but I wasn't big into pedals whilst I had that one.
