I like the Stang .. Still needs a Stang trem though.. However a nice Gotoh fixed might spice it up nicer than the stock one on it .. I'll be keeping my eye out for one to try it .

Aye. I'd echo Eric's comments as well. I want to feel all the things in those photos. Good photos set off some sort of tactile yearning in me.

The mustang is extremely light, and the frets are amazing. Highly polished and very nice edges. The body feels a little small for my liking, the one thing really holding me back. I like recessed switches.

Probably a terrible idea in reality but I keep thinking Tele HB bridge and a properly cut pickguard...

I think it'd be classy, Dave. It would at least add some chrome continuity.

Best I can do so dimensions might be a bit screwy...plus the chrome needs to be matched for true effect.

OH GOD now I'm thinking comp orange or yellow with a TeleHB bridge with those flames poking out the the back. What the hell is wrong with me?!

That would be properly pawn shop. You could buy it, put that bridge on it, then set about restoring it to as close to original as possible.

Poor Dave appears to have strained his eyes as well as his back.

Maybe rub some Deep Heat on them?

The Fender Pawn Shop Mustang Special's maple neck is a 24" short scale with a mahogany fingerboard...

Haha, I can imagine the copy typing office:

"What wood is that?"
"I dunno, looks dark. Must be mahogany. My mum has a table like that"
