I think there was a post about this ages ago but I just thought i'd ask the question again. Basically, I'm after having the tap tempo/loop footswitch changed so that I am able to take my foot off it when making loops (the same way you can with a DL4) Is there anyone on this here forum that could perform that mod?
I know that there was someone who added a tap tempo button to the side of the pedal, as obviously changing the footswitch would disable that function. I'm not too bothered about that as you can alter the delay time with one of the knobs anyway.
Anyone feel confident enough to take this on?

in order to not have to press the record switch throughout looping, you have to replace the stock momentary switch with a 3dpt.
if you dont want the led that i added, in the first image i posted ignore the blue/purple wires like the are not there.
also if you dont want to transfer the tap tempo somewhere else and just remove that function, connect the 'legs' of the 3dpt switch where the red wires are connected. should you want to add tap tempo functionality later on, this is where you should connect a momentary switch.
feel free to ask further if you need help
EDIT: looking back at the wiring, you shouldnt connect the red legs cause its where the white wires are also connected, it should work if you completely remove the red wires

what this guy did at this method was to connect an additional toggle switch that controls looping on/off. the functionality of the stock tap tempo/looping switch was not changed.sp3k wrote:
Does this work (minus the toggle) if i only want to not have to hold down the switch to loop?
i tried it and failed!
as I said above, if you replace the momentary switch with a latching one everything would work just fine. if you need the tap tempo as well, you can connect a momentary switch at the same points and place it somewhere (no space for the 'face' of the pedal, only on the side)
