Signature guitars you'd actually play.

This is a leading question because in my opinion signature guitars are fundamentally one of the least cool things for a "proper" guitarist to be sporting onstage. With that in mind, which signature guitars transcend their cred-killing capabilities so much so that they become a viable option?

The few that I can think of are as follows:

J. Mascis Jazzmaster. An odd one to start off with as I'm not even that familiar with Dinosaur Jr. But this guitar is the coolest of the cool.

Number 2: Malcolm Young signature Gretsch. I think there are two version of this; the 2-pickup version with a flame maple top and this one, apparently with an almost completely unfinished top. I would rock the living shit out this thing. Again, a bit of an odd choice because I hate AC/DC.

Thirdly, the Roger Waters Precision Bass. This is one that I would play for three reasons; firstly, I love Precision Basses. Secondly, I love Pink Floyd, specifically Roger Waters. Thirdly, in spite of being a bit dull (like most yawnsome Fender signature editions) I quite like it. Particularly the way it has regular chrome tuners on the maple neck, while the rest of the metal hardware is in black. Light and shade, like the verse/chorus sections of Comfortably Numb. Clever. I realise this almost goes against my actual question, but it's plain enough to get away with being a signature, and it's a bass. Basses aren't as cool and nobody cares about them (ex-bassistlols).

+1 on the J. Mascis Jazzmaster. I almost got one at Christmas. I could definitely do the Elvis Costello Jazzmaster as well. I really like the Sonic Youth Jazzmasters too, but further down on the list. I youst to want a Clapton Strat, but I don't have much love for strats.

If you want to actually sound like Pink Floyd, you might want the Dave Gilmour Precision Bass.

Anyway, for me, Eric Clapton Strat. It makes a lot of sense as an instrument, and the number of different pro musicians that use is speak for its usefulness.

i don't particularly care for most of pink floyd's catalog, i think david gilmour is complete twit and i've never once longed for a stratocaster, but i love this:

Jonas Brothers Melody Maker, lose the horrible logo and sand down (I do that kind of stuff) the pickguard and BOOYAH! Rawk machine. Would prefer the actual Melody Maker headstock but what evz.

Gibson Angus Young SG ( IMO a lil overpriced but a killer guitar)
Gretsch Patrick Von Stump ( pretty cool for what it is )

Schecter Terry Corso Model 006
Gretsch Tim Armstrong 5190 ( Way better than my sucky Electromatic )
PRS Mike Mushok Baritone
