Fender Stage 160 Amp Help

Post by crowleyisamuff »

Seems I am the Fender Amp killer vintage Fender stage 160

It keeps buzzing when I play the top string (tried with different guitars) all the other strings are crystal clear.

No reverb on so defiantly not the reverb.

Everything seems to be connected properly speakers ect.

Thanks

J

When you say buzzing what do you mean? It could be a problem with the tubes if it has any.

Its a solid state twin mate. Like a buzz don't know how to describe it I could record it for you when I get back from the birds.

Sometimes when I tap it, it cuts out for a little bit.

If it has no tubes I don't really know what it could be, perhaps a loose connection somewhere if it goes away when you tap it.
