Temp-Master

WOOT.

Blacktop body from Ends, Mighty Mite Tele neck, AV trem (stolen from my poor Jaguar)

The trem doesnt quite fit, it's getting caught up on the body. So clearly the blacktop has some other trem specs.
Also the pickup mounting screws/holes for the JM pickup are different. I swapped out the PU cover and had to drill out bigger holes to mount the cream cover.
Weird. Anyway, I think this is going to be my baritone body as soon as the neck arrives, provided I get strings long enough to reach from the bridge to the tuners.

Neck pickup is ultra-classy, has the thick bottom end and spanky top you expect from a Jazzmaster. Bridge pickup sounds like an aluminum turd clean, but brings out harmonics well with dirt, and has some low end balls to it as well!

BONUS: My wife thinks it super ugly! WIN!

PS, I'm not at all sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

If'n you like we can swap that trem for my blacktop trem that I kept. You'll lose the tremlock though.

Thanks, but I've got a flat-top bigsby on the way Im going to try, might end up going hard tail on this anyway. Either way, that trem is headed back to Jaggey So Pretteye.

As far as I'm aware, if the blacktop doesn't have the proper fender Jag trem and it isn't routed with the little curved section at the top, then the proper fender trem won't fit. You see it more often on cheaper guitars with knock-off jag trems with the lock button, the route is just a square without the extra bit.

It actually has the rout for the tremlock, it just doesn't come with one oddly.

It could be as small an issue as an incredibly thick finish. I had to sand down the pocket and the heel of my neck to get them to join. But now its snug as FUUUUUUCK.

That's an odd thing to save money on if the other Mexican Jags/Jazzies come with the trem lock.

Shouldn't be an issue; people use, for example, d'Addario baritone strings on Fender VIs, which have the same trem and a 3" longer scale length.
