I think people would bother to understand you more if you took some time to listen to what other people said and had some examples to back up your points. It's hard to argue with people if everyone's convinced that they have nothing in common, then it's just a matter of who gets the better one-liners in. Honeyiscool...I understand what you are saying. And I agree. However, I cannot prove anything to them when then are just going to argue my points left and right. It's like talking to a wall..you get no where. I have agreed to disagree. Her earlier stuff before the Hey Hey I Don't Like Your Girlfriend garbage was still garbage, but, not nearly so bad. She went from pop-punk icon to standard girl band bland... she had some promise of growing up from pop-punk to maybe something credible, but decided to go in the exact direction her songs were anthems against when she started. Delightful irony

I remember hearing that Girlfriend song and being infuriated with how terrible it was and how catchy it was... it wasn't until months later that I found out who sung it.

If you honestly thought there was any bit of artistic integrity behind her first album that was anti girly girl bands, then it seems like somebody needs to tell you this... Avril Lavigne, and at least 90% of what gets popular on the radio is written be a songwriting team and marketing team combo... They will write one song for one artist and if it takes off, then they'll tweak it to make it ever so slightly different and release it under another artist. Listen to "california girls" by katy perry and Ke-dollarsign-ha's song and you'll hear this. There is no artistic integrity left in mainstream popular radio.

The only point that needed to be made was IronyHero says "if you have good taste in music then you will appreciate MCR" implying that if we don't like them we have shit taste in music. Then goes on to berate us for ripping on MCR for sucking. If he continues to argue, then clearly nothing will come of it, so don't egg him on.

By the way I don't like the more recent MCR stuff I've heard. In my mind they peaked with Three Cheers, I probably still remember at least half of the lyrics on that album. Guilty pleasure etc etc etc.

Also, fuck some noobs registering to a forum just to dig up a months old thread and troll the shit out of it.

Also fuck 3-4 pages of opinions on music being good or not.

Also I was in an internet band with Mikey Stone called MY CHEMICAL BLOWJOB so your opinion is irrelevant. We had one song, it was about the Sega Saturn game CORPSE KILLER, it stole the chorus from Helena, and Doog remixed it and sang guest vocals.
