If the pickups are already wired up you could just plug a cable into the guitar and then touch the multimeter tips to the other end and switch between the pickups. It's not as accurate but it'll tell you which one is the higher rated at least.

I almost forgot to state the important part...

GUITAR SOUNDS AWESOMEZ!

Finger access to squeely oscillations is amazing used in conjunction with various stomp boxes.

Pickups fixed. All is well, fuck is this neck fat.

If you guys are good little piggies I'll demo it tomorrow. Neck pickup is sweet, middle setting is pure rock and roll. Bridge pickup is odd... it's 13K so it's way powerful for a single coil... comes off less like a jazzmaster/p-90 sound and more like the middle position on a strat. the quacky one. Sounds great dirty, but clean it quacks like a duck. Neck and middle are a dream clean so I'm not sweating it, and the bridge sounds fan-fucking-tastic dirty.

P.S. All my gear is in my basement because of band practice. Tested with The Internet and when I hit teh gewgle switch I got a god awful buzz. Thought something was wrong, then I realized ALL of my guitars get a god awful buzz in the basement when I enable GEWGLE!

It's likely I was lying... as after the Franken-Sonic I swore no more as well.

Once this is all settled and I have time to forget about how horrible I am at this... I dunno... there's alot of baritone love going around. Tell you one thing... next project will be WAY MORE SIMPLE.

I've got a template of a MIM Duo Sonic with the infamous 22.7" neck scale... that converts over to the 25 1/2" scale with no problem... could use a baritone conversion.

Very neck heavy, but you could explode the body or increase the thickness of the guitar to offset the weight.

Is it just me or is playing a 9.25" radius for the first time like learning guitar all over again... I have to totally alter my "strangle the neck" fretting technique.

I know what you mean. Currently all my electrics are 7.25" radius after I sold my Squiers. I just prefer the vintage radius.

Yeah, that in combination with the giant u radius of this neck and I literally have to completely alter my approach to guitar playing. Honestly I sort of like that... I may have been spoiled by ny mustang. I feel like if I can play this club I can probably be comfortable on any guitar, verses my mustang which has me comfortable only on... Well... My mustang.

I'm going to man up and tame this beast.

So I really suck with adjusting truss rods, so I took this to the local shop for a truss adjustment (which it needed bad), neck shimming, intonation etc.

I just got a call...

"We got the action as low as we could, but we noticed with aggressive strumming your strings kept popping out of the saddles. We installed a buzz stop and it seems to alleviate the problem... do you want us to leave it on?"
"Uh... how much is it?"
"We've had a bunch in the shop forever and no one's ever needed one before, consider it part of the initial setup fee."
"So free?"
"Yep."
"Sweet, leave it on there!"

I'll pick it up after work and demo this weekend.
