Shit, this is a cool project! I don't know how I missed it.

Great to see the pickups getting some use. I'm sure you noticed that those CP JM pickups are a bit taller than regular ones, but they still fit under regular covers.

so i got this almost finished
still needs to be wired up and intonation done.. might need a little bit of truss rod adjustment as well..
but its pretty close, no buzz. route the bridge pickup a little lower then i guess i wanted, but we shall see how that pans out after it is wired up.

Very cool, dude! That Jazzmaster pickup looks fuckin' tits in there. Glad to see one has found a semi-permanent home.

yeah i'm pretty stoked on it.

it might still get a pick guard, i got that black one, and a white one..

but they cover the neck volume pot..

i'm also not stoked on the speed knobs.. but i think i have some bronco knobs kicking around.

yeah I know it's so annoying. that's why I was thinking of doing a maruder pickguard.

then you would be free to route for whatever controls you like.

That guitar kicks ass. I think Mage has the right idea with the Marauder style pickguard.

i was thinking of just filling the one volume hole, forget the 3 way toggle and just have independent volume for each pup.

i'm not 100% though.. i'll wire it up when i get back in this afternoon.

yeah, that could work. or maybe you could do a switch and a stacked pot w/ vol + tone.

well my toggle need to be replaced.. as it fell apart while jamming..
and i'm getting a grounding issue off the bridge pickup..
though i totally forgot to run a ground wire to the bridge/trem
so i'll probably tackle that tomorrow.

and i might just run two volumes, no tone, jack, no toggle...

i'm exploring the options.
however i can say that it played really nice, and i loved the tone out of both pickups when playing, but the neck pup is WAY hotter then the bridge.
so once i get these issues solved i'll get an demo done.

Shit, really? That must be a hell of a humbucker. If I remember correctly, I forgot to label the JM pickups -- but I believe the neck was the one had the larger metal plate on the bottom.
