Ordinarily I'd say yes, but you flip stuff at such a rate (that's not a criticism, by the way) that I think you'd adversely effect its value and shoot yourself in the foot when the time comes to flip it.
So, as it would mean you had to keep it, I vote yes.
The Vibramates seem like a really good system for sticking one on a guitar that doesn't already have one, but they're sooo damn expensive for what they are.
Would do, especially if I intended to keep it in the flock for a while.
It took about good 3 years for the B16 on my pink Tele to nicely oxidize into a scuffy old German Silver look, and I think it would match the hums on yours quite nicely in due time. No doubt you can do an Neil Young too.
My only hesitation is that those damn necks are so frail. Bigsbys add like 17 pounds plus torque. Yet I would do it and not let go. If Keith and Jimmy aren't enough to convince you, there's always Neil Young and Frank Zappa. I have had my own high turnover rate, but certain guitars get lodged and won't be unstuck.

i love the way bigsby's look, but what i love even more is the tuning stability of a hardtail. I hardly play my artcore with bigsby, because there is something weird with the attack of the notes, it's too 'soft' or something, not sure if this is because of the bigsby, but it could be.

Good point Sloan. Maybe I shouldn't fuck with it.
I could get get a "Kurtburst" with a Bigsby installed from Rondo for less money than a Vibramate and B7
But still, I would do it in a minute on a used standard

pretty much yeah. it really does change the sound of the guitar. it seems to take some of the mid range punch out of it and flatten out the sound.
