Thanks for the compliments. Pretty geeked and waiting sucks.
The seller actually has/had several guitars that were burgundy mist--a Riviera, a Sorrento, and another I don't remember. She's still thinning out the herd, I think. While we were there, she pulled out a '78 Strat that had a beautiful red-orange paint job. Really cool lady and we all sat around and talked about guitars for a while afterwards.
that is a nice find plaidbeer and I'm glad you finally settled for it, look after her. i would be tempted to take the pickguard off but the colouring looks nice. Upgrading the tuners will definitely add to tuning stability.

I didn't know it was even an available colour before this thread but burgundy mist works very well on these. Great job picking that one up. You won't regret it.
Question about strings--I used 10s on my BT Jazzmaster and was fine with that, but since the Casino is a slightly shorter scale and hollow-bodied does it make a difference? Also, should I stick with nickel-wound? Going for full on jingle-jangle.
I used the same strings for all of my guitars; I find the fatter necks and a little bit lower tension is nice. If you're unsure, just try both, strings are cheap.

It will be fine, I doubt you will notice. I use 10's on my Jazzmaster & Sheraton.

Thanks. I'm going nuts right now. I won't have it back until roughly this time next week (which will be 3 weeks since I last had a guitar). I'm fighting off the temptation to go buy some used Epi LP Special just to have something to play until then.
