Seriously, HOW did that band ever even manage to reel him in in the first place?

I would not mind a good, accurate Kurt signature Jaguar/Mustang.
I'm talking with a tune-o-matic style bridge, a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge, body routed for switches but pickguard has them removed, little things like that. It would be an awesome guitar.

Why would that make it an awesome guitar?
There are already three different Fender Japan versions of varying accuracy.

I love Marr but the Cribs were ace on the first few albums as a three piece.

Because they are good and he liked what they were doing? I dunno. Maybe that's why.

I don't know the cribs music all that well but I did see a couple videos of them online with Johnny Marr, and one of them all together on Letterman, and I was incredibly underwhelmed. Opinions obviously vary...

In a band like The Cribs there's not enough diversity and space in the arrangement to have someone like Johnny Marr make a difference. Cribs are still good, Marr is still a legend.

I think we can safely say that's not the reason he joined the cribs.

I don't think Marr was really a fit with the style of the cribs, it always seemed a bit weird to me.

I did like We Share the Same Skies and We Were Aborted, but the rest of the album wasn't up to par IMHO. Just wasn't Cribsy enough. Marr is an amazing player and The Smiths were amazing. But Marr+Cribs doesn't really work. I wish Morrisey would allow one reunion show of The Smiths.

Yeah I've seen that before. Some banging guitars, but for all the 12 strings no Electric XII?
