gigs in the 'gland this weekend. COME YE!
that's 'england', in case you missed it.
thursday we're in south shields, which is apparently near newcastle and probably smells a bit like sewage. the venue is called raffles; i've had a look online and rather than conjuring up an image of an edwardian gentleman burglar, it calls forth an image of someone who'll smash you over the head with a glass bottle and steal your shoes.
still, should be fun!
saturday we're in london, islington to be precise, zenith bar to be preciser. this is a charity night, and should be an absolute belter- cracking lineup.
this also means we have a whole day spare (friday) with nothing to do, so technically as long as it was generally southwards we could have an impromptu party with any shortscalers kind enough to put up with our incessant jibbering for the evening.

I think they have the word valentine or valentino in their name. I wouldn't expect them to be good, but this promoter guarantees you a few quid, so it's better than a kick in the nuts if you can swallow your pride. Hurb and his lady are coming along, mini meet! We're onstage at half 9, i believe.Simon wrote:I may well get the Metro through to Shields for this like... Do you know who you'll be playing with yet?
Would be good to see you's play while not being completely stressed out!
Let a brother know
Mike and young roberto, be nice to see you if you can make it along on sat.
For those not friends with lady hurb on facebook, Black International do South Shields.
This one of the locals displaying to ward off other males....really worst venue ever. But the boys were true professionals and put on a good show.
Nice to see yous again boys...but I forgot to buy a cd like a muppet! will rectify that shortly.

Poifect fit, I loves it. Listening to the album now, will pick up a download copy of it laterz.
Great set last night guys, I had a blast. I was a fucking mess socially; I've been staring at the same programme for a week with not enough sleep, I think I've forgotten how to talk.. so sorry for only saying "Hiiii!" to you last night Noirie :/
The four videos I took look and sound pretty good, the soundman wasn't half keen on pumping Stew's vocals up, though. Will post shortly!
