I usually like superstrats, but I don't like this.

To be honest, I don't really like super-expensive or signature superstrats. To me, the idea behind these guitars is that they can do everything fairly well, so I don't see the point in signature models.

I don't like expensive superstrats because I suppose I've mostly come to think of these guitars as being fantastic value for money because of how unfashionable they are. I'd imagine I could get a superstrat put together for about £300 that would be as capable as any of the expensive signatures. That's definitely a matter of prejudice born out of the climate I've grown up in, though, rather than the guitars themselves as abstract concepts.

I don't like signature models because I can't see any difference between this and say, a Jem or JS, apart from things like neck profile, which is something that I'd imagine is specific to the person whose name is on the guitar and what they find comfortable rather than to a specific sound or style.

Remarkable memories surfacing at the sight, not all unpleasant.

Summer '86 summer marching band camp just weeks before I started high school. I was wearing those very colors, a mixture of tacky Quiksilver, Jimmy'z, and Esprit fashion items of the day. Wouldn't really like to own such an Ibanez, but could imagine it being on the wall as an '80s art piece.

Paint scheme looks like one of Adrian Belew's Mustangs. I like it based on that alone. Plus I like Ibanez anyway.

It's so strange.. i mean. I HATE the look, i really do. But at the same time.....i find it.... irresistible. Especially knowing i could flip it for almost triple the price in the U.S.
