Fender mustang sucks
Ive had a fender mustang and it sucked. The switches gave you unusable tones. It neede 10,s or higher becuase the 24" shortscale was to rubber bandy. The vintage frets and 7.25 fretted out always. Bridge was this stupid alien lipstick lever taht looked stupid beyond belief. The enlarged headstock was again retarded. The thing felt unsubstantial in your hands and the tone and pickups were pathetically thin.
The fanos specs solves most of these problems especially the compound radius. From the videos ofthe pawnshop, another fender mistake tonally. The mustangs have never been popular for a reason.

actually in it's day the mustang was one of the most popular guitars fender made. they were one of their most consistent sellers, that's why they kept making them for so many years. you might not like the sounds of a mustang but that's certainly a subjective thing don't you think? most people here would prefer their sound to a humdrum humbucker. don't really know what a "stupid alien lipstick lever" is. I personally quite like the big 70s fender headstocks, to each his own I suppose. I also like .10 strings just fine. any lower than that and I think the tone suffers.Lupulus wrote:Ive had a fender mustang and it sucked. The switches gave you unusable tones. I don't care much for the attention to detail on this fano (or lack there of). the edge routing looks too squared off, the control plate is too thin. the solutions to the mustang "problems" are all rather obvious and boring choices.
