Mustang bridge probably won't work as the bridge posts are slightly skewed and make the strings sit on the sides of the saddles instead of the middle. 12s and a slightly lighter hand will work, pretty sure. I even have strings pop on my jaguar that has. Musang bridge and a stoptail. Hell, even les pauls will sometimes.
I have a blood blister on the cuticle of my pick finger. I think for how hard I play I'm baring up the wrong tree.

Was the set bridge on the Musicmaster any better? Maybe a Duo Sonic or Bronco would fit the bill better?

Hardtails are no problem. As I've said, I can't do guitars proper
I think a duo or bronco would do well, maybe I will stick to my teles. Damn I love some teles.

This thread is making me sad. It's clearly a nice guitar, but it sucks that it's not working for you. Maybe you should trade it to Pat for his Bronco...
