had to hack some space away so the pickup ears/screws would fit:

the wire from the bridge pickup could only stretch to the pickup selector diagonally and i don't have any spare wire to extend it so i took a shortcut.. through the island.. with a saw!

the pickup holes needed to be expanded, and i ended up cutting out more than i would have liked, leaving a couple mm too much gap on the first attempt on the bridge pickup. the neck pickup is a tighter fit.. anyway.. here she is..

the rhythm/treble ring came with the new pickup selector, and i wasn't expecting to use it but i think it looks alright. the gold font seems to work with the gold flakes in the guitar's finish and it kind of fits the 70's vibe.. and probably even more once the black witch hat knobs arrive in the next day or two!

oh yeah.. and the pickups sounded pretty good through the little Vox DA5 tester-amp i had available. nice and chimey for humbuckers. maybe the 500k pots from the Jagmaster helped out the usual 'muddy' descriptions the MIM Tele Deluxe/Custom get with their 250k pots. just needs a proper set up and will be testing it out through my other amp properly.
sexy though innit?
