83 Fender Squier Bullet Mini-Project - Before/After

Post by cooter »

Here's the 83 Bullet body I bought off of markocaster.

This weekend I made a new pickguard and rewired it Duosonic style ala robroe.

Turned out nice I think. Now I just need a suitable neck for it.

That looks great! It's crazy how different a strat can look without the body jack. Fantastic! Same two pickups, sans humbucker?

Thanks! I was going to refinish it but the original finish still looks pretty good so I decided to go with black on black.
I'm drop filling the chips on the back horn.

Thanks. Yep, same two original pickups. Took the Dimarzio humbucker out. I've been doing some research on the Dimarzio. I think it's a Super Distortion but I'm not completely sure yet. I need to hook it up to a meter.

What neck are you going to fit cooterfinger?
These early bullets really are great guitars, love mine!
The white outline on your pickguard really sets it off against the black - nice!

I'm looking for a maple tele neck with rosewood fretboard and heel adjust truss rod.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for the early bullets. The loaded bodies still go for pretty cheap after the neck
has been nabbed.

I want one of the tele style bullets like yours but I guess I'll have to make my own body since
those seem to sell for a good bit higher than the strat style body.
