NGD(s) - Tele Deluxe; Tele; Duo-Sonic

Post by SKC Willie »

I know what you're thinking, Duos are shortscale. Not mine, I put a strat neck on it!

Tele deluxe has some plans for modding but that's between me and haze  (it's Ends inspired, but not quite as cool)

the red tele was a guitar I put together from an GFS body and a SX neck that I refinished/reshaped the headstock on. My brother obviously liked my dot way more so I "traded" him. Next day I come home from work and he has learned like 4 Incubus songs. He's been playing guitar for like 3 days now. More natural talent than I had, that's for sure.

The duo I picked up at a hipster shop and than bought a cheapo neck on craigslist. I really like all of the guitars. The red tele is SUPER light. So is the duo.

the tele with the bigsby isn't new but it has a new 70s law-suit era start neck that plays really well. nice and worn in.

I really like all those guitars, especially the red one. The finish is beautiful on that one.

Haha. Would have been nice for someone to have oiled it up, at least.

I should save that pic for the next time someone claims that any satin maple neck is unfinished.

You can go, nah, bro, THIS is what an unfinished maple surface looks like. I'm sure it plays nice, though.

I heard Dave Mustaine had an incident during his time in Metallica when he poured beer into the pickups of a bass guitar and when the bassist tried playing it, he got a nasty electrical shock.

Don't know if true, but you probably should let that thing dry the next time.

Another incident occurred when Mustaine, who had been drinking, poured a full can of beer down the neck and into the pick-ups of Ron McGovney's bass. When McGovney tried playing it, he received an electrical shock which he claims 'blew him across the room and shocked the hell out of him'. McGovney then told Mustaine and Hetfield to leave his house and left the band shortly after.

Haha.

screw that.

truth be told. something I never did tell you is that I was intentionally putting a little beer on the strings because I like the way dead strings sound and feel. in the process, I spilled beer on it and it quit working. the good news is that I unsoldered the pickup and it still had output.
