
Then I removed the black with Goof Off, sanded the back and had to refinish (mistakes were made). The previous owner painted over the binding! And put that stupid lightning bolt on it, at least he didn't scuff sand the original finish. Had I known about Goof Off I wouldn't have sanded the back. I left the PG off for a while,(it's ugly), then I put it back on as I thought the guitar looked too aerodyne.

I have mixed feelings about the PG, but as boredom allows it can come off or go back on again. Also new GFS Retrotrons, I was going for a Billy Zoom/Gretsch look. Plays as well as I do and it stays in tune!
