THE BEAST / 'Home The Armless' project

Post by Doog »

If I was to pick-up this monstrosity on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

..would one of my Shortscale brethren based in Sheffield be able to pick it up and send it on to me? I will of course reimburse you fully plus a little mo'.

edit: the dude just mailed me back and he lives in central Sheffield (S3) and works at the Electric Works (S1 2BJ), so either is a candidate for pick-up.

Love 'n hugz,

The body and tremolo alone are worth it; it's dead hard finding Strat bodies that aren't routed out totally AND mega pointy. Plus it's bare, making finishing it a little easier.

I get the feeling based on the saddle positions that the neck doesn't quite intonate properly, but I'm looking at putting a Kramer-style neck on it (why not go the whole hog?) anyways, so I can always address that if needs be.

I've just won your nifty guitar, I'm very happy. When is an ideal time and day for you for my friend to pick it up from your workplace?

Many thanks,

Simple enough question, one would think. Hopefully he won't guilt me into paying more or buying some lucky heather or something.

Yupz! There's a hole left in my ARSENAL when I sold my Contemporary Tele, and this is even more up my street stylistically than the Tele was.

I was looking at one of those "Heavy Metal" Strats, but they go for way more than I'd be prepared to spend; considerably more than the Contemporary series, it would appear.

I've seen a fair few of these around my ends. They're pretty neat guitars to be honest.

Chandlers in Richmond have a white one which was going for ร‚ยฃ400 i think. Cannae afford it but might give it a whirl sometime after college this week.
