For a Schecter factory tour I was expecting more beards, sweat and builder's arse cracks.

Their endorsement deals with Robert Smith and Porl Thompson just seem really at odds with their image (metal guitars).

For what they are they are pretty nice guitars. I used one of the black c1 classics with the 59/jb pups to tecord and it sounded every bit as good as my other guitar players les paul...

Other than the fact that most Schecters look like metal guitars, I've never heard or read a single negative thing about them. My guitar tech absolutely loves his. Thought about a Stargazer briefly before getting the BT Jazzmaster.

They go through phases of bringing out some pretty funky guitars inspired by Jaguars and Mustangs. The sad fact is that metal-styled guitars just sell more units, but it's obvious that there are some cool designers at Schecter.

I've got a Hellcat VI, and I'm waiting on delivery of an Ultra VI. Fantastic instruments.
