So I'm getting a high pitched whine from feeding my RC2. I'm using the out of my Korg Pitchblack to power it.
RC-2s current draw is 50ma and this should handle up to 200ma.
The thing is I'm using a lengthy adaptor cable (approx 1m) to get the RC2 to the other side of my board otherwise all the playbacks will be 'effected'... I have no other power options left. I still need to try a smaller cable to see if theres any difference and try problem solve further.
Using a Diago P/supply and have six other pedals... so I believe it should be alright power-wise.
I can easily live with it but wondering if anyone else could suggest why this might be happening ?
I have the same problem with my ehx hazarai and the ehx cathedral when daisy channing. If i use a separate adapter the noise goes away.
I just learned to live with it, because i don't want to carry 3 adapters.
I cannot remember entirely, but when I had an RC2 I believe giving it it's own adapter solved the problem, did you feed it a 9V of it's own? Cheaper than a virtual battery, never even heard of such a thing til now. Placing pedals differently sometimes fixes such things, assuming you're willing to change things up.
Glad i read this thread as i've been having a similar problem with my metal planet,sd-1 and the ds-1 - all with a horrendous buzz, high pitch whine - turns out to be the psa power supply and daisy chain i've been using - tried them all on battery power today and no noise!
