painted on graphics of the company suck. It would be like if you could only buy a Subaru WRX STI with rally stickers painted all over it. Yes some people put graphic logos all over things because they like to distinguish themselves as douchebags, but it should always be optional.
Really, for the price and free hard case/shipping, they aren't terrible looking guitars. I kinda like the coupe de ville Bossman, even despite the cheesy brass knuckle inlays. But the logo being painted on kills it.

Yeah, impressive. When I thought they were just musicians I was like "pffft, anyone can do that."Mo Rawka wrote:it turns out that PAJAMABAND are actually porn stars. wow...

hmmm . . .
interesting. can you really get into trouble when they're not uploaded by this site? I mean, all we did was copy a link? Obviously not worth any risk of law suit or some stupid shit like that but, I mean, does he really have any valid rights against posting pictures from HIS website?

Removing the pictures to shut him up is ok, but him asking for our comments about his ugly guitars to be removed is ridiculous. He can't do anything about that either. It's a discussion board and we were discussing our opinions of these guitars openly. I know that Talkbass doesn't allow stuff like that and I'm pretty sure it's because there are so many corporate tie ins and sponsors on that website, and it's quite obvious too since it seems to only be enforced when certain brands are mentioned negatively. I've been warned on there for saying Markbass and Trace Elliot amps are ugly and they actually keep it on record... pretty ridiculous. But people on there that hate rickenbacker basses for some reason will constantly start flame wars to try and egg on ric enthusiasts and they seem to get away with that, since Rickenbacker obviously doesn't sponsor or offer financial support for talkbass. There's also a huge faction over there that despises all the short scale fender basses that we love here. They write them off as shitty student models and are constantly open about stating that and they never get warned. But I mention that I think Markbass amps are ugly and am immediately warned and get a point on my record... stupid. It also makes me wonder about the huge amount of rave reviews markbass amps get over there. I've never been very impressed with the sound of markbass amps and they also seem stupidly expensive (an 8x10 from them is $400 more than an Ampeg one) yet everybody seems to love them over at talkbass.
sorry I kinda went off on a rant about talkbass there. My point was talkbass doesn't allow it and I'm pretty sure it's because they have sponsors and financial support from a ton of brands there. Since we don't have any backing by any brand, especially this hardluck kings guy, we have no obligation to hold ourselves back from discussing our opinions openly about any brand.

Oh c'mon, I hate crap like that.dots wrote:i think the owner emailed me this morning and had those pictures pulled down. he wanted the negative comments bahleeted, too, but that was too far. a review is a review.
Was he nice about it? Or was it some bullying type threat of legal action.
Unless it's direct slander like somebody fabricates a story about owning one and then gives a made up negative review, which I can't imagine anybody on this forum doing, what recourse does he even have?
In fact nobody on here even stated they played one except for a user with one single post. Everybody just commented their opinion that the aesthetics were ugly.
